Bug: Unable to connect Claude or ChatGPT to the MCP server

Feature Request

When I attempt to connect, this “Unexpected response from server. Please try again” error is thrown right when trying to approve access at the permission screen. I have tried with both Claude and ChatGPT, using different devices and login sessions as well. No maneuver seems to work.

    Exactly the new fresh connection fails, or the existing one fails? What exact tools are you trying to call? I just tried it on my end, and everything works fine 🤔 See no issues in the logs

      I would say Fresh connection, because I didn’t have a prior connection established. I just copied the MCP url from AI Assistant tab in settings and attempted to connect to Claude. Initial attempt failed at the auth page and all subsequent attempts failed as well. I did delete the connector from Claude and tried again but to no avail. I wanted to cover all bases and tried to get MCP server connected to ChatGPT as well but when ever I click approve at the Oauth page, this error pops up.

        Oki, was able to reproduce with OpenAI. Thanks for the report, on it :)
