Custom Payday

Feature Request

Allow users to define their own payday instead of assuming every month starts on the 1st. Many people receive their salary on different dates (for example, the 25th of each month) and the current monthly cashflow view can show inaccurate information before the salary arrives. Supporting a custom payday would make cashflow tracking more accurate by aligning income, expenses and monthly periods with the user's actual financial cycle.

    The custom payday setting will be added in the next release. All the dashboard widgets will respect it. Analytics pages tho will remain as is, cause I’m not sure they are suitable for this case

      Thanks, that makes sense for the dashboard. I think custom payday should also be supported in relevant analytics including cash flow, budgets , Sankey chart etc.

      I’d suggest using ‘Pay cycle’ or similar in the UI for the selection as it clearly describes a period. These views should follow the pay cycle by default with calendar month analysis available as an alternative where appropriate.
