Paste images from the clipboard to attach them (Ctrl/Cmd + V)
Most receipts and invoices I want to attach are already on my screen: a screenshot, an image in an email, or a photo someone sent on WhatsApp. To attach one today I have to save it as a file, click “Add attachments”, find the file and select it. That’s four steps for something that should take one.
When I’m adding or editing a transaction and the attachments area is open, pressing Ctrl + V (Windows/Linux) or Cmd + V (Mac) should attach whatever image is in my clipboard, the same way it works in ChatGPT, Slack or Gmail.
Take a screenshot, paste it, and it’s attached.
Copy an image from a browser or email, paste it, and it’s attached.
If I paste more than one image in a row, each one becomes its own attachment.
The current “Add attachments” button stays as it is.
Attaching proof to transactions is one of the most useful habits for keeping finances in order (for taxes, reimbursements, shared expenses, business bookkeeping), and it’s also the one people skip because it takes effort. Paste-to-attach makes it about as fast as copying the image, so more transactions end up with their receipt.
Nice to have
Drag and drop an image straight onto the transaction form.
On mobile, long-press → Paste in the attachments area, where the browser supports it.
