Subject: Issue with Real-Time Budget Utilization Graph

Feature Request

I am writing to report a potential issue with the real-time budget utilization feature in the app. As I understand it, the progress bar or graph should dynamically compare the established budget limit against actual expenses, displaying the percentage of the budget used in real time.

However, in my case, this does not seem to be working correctly. Please refer to the attached screenshot for reference.

As you can see:

  • Income: R$3,881.27

  • Expenses: R$964.13

  • Net Balance: R$2,917.14

  • Budget Limit: R$1,600.00

  • Budget Utilization Displayed: R$0.00 of R$1,600.00 — 0%

Given that I have already recorded expenses totaling R$964.13, I would expect the budget utilization bar to reflect approximately 60.26% (964.13 / 1,600.00 * 100) of the limit used. Instead, it continues to show 0% and R$0.00 spent against the budget.

Could you please investigate this issue? It seems that the app is not correctly linking the expenses to the active budget, or the real-time tracking might be failing to update as expected.

    Well actually the budget utilization is designed to represent the “net balance” change, not the raw expenses. For example when you’re traveling somewhere, you might have both expenses and incomes, for example some friends/company refund you the accommodation or transportation, or if you're doing a renovation the second-hand sales can reimburse your total budget balance. So at this point in time budgets represent more of a "track net budget of some event", not really the budgeting of monthly living expenses. You can omit linking income transactions and track only expenses (basically maintaining the negative net balance) – then it will work as you currently expect.


    Could you please describe your exact case of budget usage?
